Progress > Perfection
Progress > Perfection
I have to remind myself of this almost daily.
When you are building something new, you can see in your mind how it should/will be, so the current state can feel frustrating. Too slow. Imperfect.
It felt this way in the early days of Sprout, and it often feels that way now as we are building and scaling Ten Speed.
Progress > perfection doesn't mean that you are settling for less or low-quality.
It means:
- You know where you want to go or what you want it to be.
- You accept that trying to force that result now will be bad in the long run.
- You value the progress being made because you can see how it all leads to your goal, and each week, each month, it becomes more of a reality.
